Part 1. I’m so happy you’re here

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my new website! Feel free to take a look around and say hi.

I have a few surprises for you this week, but I’d like to start off by telling you a little about me.

I found my love for photography while studying Digital Media Design in college. I had always taken pictures, but during school, I learned what makes a good photo and the tools needed to achieve it. Ever since then I’ve been constantly striving to improve my skills.

I started taking photos professionally at the end of my last semester in school. I photographed many high school seniors, couples, families and weddings during that time. I very much enjoyed being a part of their lives and sharing their stories.

A couple of years after graduation, I married Samuel and we moved from our hometown in Ohio to Michigan; he was finishing his Bachelor’s degree in Kalamazoo. I had to put professional photography on the back burner for a while, but I always grabbed my camera to capture the beautiful state of Michigan.

Once Samuel graduated, he received orders from the Air Force to head to Florida, and here we are. He does his military thing and now I do my photography thing. Most of my time is spent on real estate photography and taking promotional photos for the Army. I absolutely love doing both, but I also missed the creativity that comes with lifestyle photography. I missed experimenting with natural light and finding the perfect location. I missed getting excited with my clients over an amazing shot I had captured of them. So I upgraded my camera and decided it’s time to jump back in!

Florida has been good to us. We bought our first home here, I started my business up again, and most importantly, we brought home our bouncing bundle of joy: Marshall. He’s not a big fan of my camera, but we’re working on it. He’ll be a pro puppy model before too long.

I don’t think I’ve worked harder in my life than I have building my business this past year. I’m extremely proud of what I’ve created and will continue to create. I hope you stick around to see what’s to come and join me on this journey!
